RESTAURANT REOPENS ONE DAY AFTER FIRE.

``It started when a wire shorted,'' Charbonneau said. ``Employees smelled smoke, but at first they assumed it was from the barbecue. Then a bartender noticed smoke coming from the ceiling.''

The fire, which was put out within minutes, damaged the attic and the ceiling over the bar area. Some of the booths were ripped RiPPED are an alternative rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada on Sextant Records/EMI Distribution. The band formed in 1994, and were originally called "Ripped Emotions".  out when the fire was being put out.

Restaurant manager Kevin Beaudine said employees and a cleaning crew worked from 8 p.m. Tuesday until midafternoon Wednesday to get the restaurant ready for the dinner crowd.

``We replaced the booths with those from our other restaurants and put a tarp on the ceiling,'' Beaudine said. ``There's also a tarp outside on the roof, but otherwise customers won't notice too much.''
