BURBANK - Police arrested eight people early Sunday after a brawl brawl

An employee called Burbank police after the fight broke out inside and spilled into a parking lot, according to a police report. A restaurant security guard was assaulted in the battle.

When police arrived about 12:30 a.m., several patrons who blocked them from coming inside were arrested, the report said. It took several officers about 20 minutes to break up the fighting, officials said.

Paramedics took suspect Raluca Croitoru Merisoreanu, 20, of Encino to a local hospital for cuts to her arms, and another suspect, Araik Ousepian Asaturovich, 40, of Glendale was treated for head and face wounds, according to the report. They and Grigor Arabyan, 24, of Burbank were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon Assault with a Deadly Weapon is the term used to describe the act of threatening to harm one or more people by using a weapon (usually a firearm). Here, assault must be differentiated from battery as they are often confused. Assault is threatening to use force.  and were held on $30,000 bail, police said.

Five other men, ranging in age from 39 to 52, who blocked police from entering the restaurant were booked on suspicion of delaying or resisting arrest resisting arrest n. the crime of using physical force (no matter how slight in the eyes of most law enforcement officers) to prevent arrest, handcuffing and/or taking the accused to jail.  and were held on $10,000 bail, according to the report. One other suspect was not arrested.
