RESEDA RESIDENT DIES AT 106; SERVICES SET.

Services are scheduled Thursday for Elsie For Elsie was a reworking of Beethoven's Fur Elise by The Residents. Cady was born Elsie May Brogden on Jan. 6, 1893, in Denison, Iowa Denison is a city in Crawford County, Iowa, United States, along the Boyer River. The population was 7,339 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Crawford County.GR6 Geography

. She moved with her parents and sister to Laurel, Neb., in 1899.

She married Harry Lee Cadyin 1915 in Laurel. The Cadys moved with their only child, Gordon, to Reseda in 1923.

Cady was instrumental in establishing a public library in Reseda that became the West Valley Regional Branch Library.

She worked in the Reseda Post Office during the early 1940s and was a member of the Reseda Women's Club Women’s clubs first arose in the United States during the post-civil war period. As a result of increased leisure time due to modern household advances, middle class women had more time to engage in intellectual pursuits.  for 76 years.

She and her husband helped found the First United Methodist Church First United Methodist Church is a common name for the first United Methodist church established in a particular locality. Many First United Methodist Churches exist around the world.  of Reseda, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.

Harry Lee Cady died in 1978; Gordon Cady died in 1991. Cady is survived by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Bastian & Perrott Mortuary, 18728 Parthenia St., Northridge.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church of Reseda, 18120 Saticoy St., Reseda. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Forest Lawn is the name of a number of different places:
