Byline: Jim Skeen Staff Writer

LANCASTER - Early indications are Lancaster will not receive state aid to repair damage from the July 29 wind storm that cost the city an estimated $1 million, officials said Wednesday.

City officials said they received an e-mail from the Office of Emergency Services emergency services Emergency care '…services …necessary to prevent death or serious impairment of health and, because of the danger to life or health, require the use of the most accessible hospital available and equipped to furnish those services'  that indicated the prospects for city's application for an emergency declaration by the state were dim.
