 REPUBLIC HEALTH STOCKHOLDERS APPROVE CHANGE OF NAME TO
 ORNDA HEALTHCORP; INCREASE AUTHORIZED COMMON STOCK
 DALLAS, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- At Republic Health Corporation's (NASDAQ: REPH) annual shareholder meeting held Tuesday in New York, the company's stockholders voted to change Republic Health's name to OrNda (or-n'-da) HealthCorp, effective immediately.
 In that connection, the company's NASDAQ symbol will change to "ORND" effective Thursday, April 16, 1992.
 The stockholders approved an amendment to the company's certificate of incorporation increasing the number of authorized shares of common stock from 20,000,000 to 100,000,000.
 At the meeting, stockholders elected Yvonne V. Cliff, Richard A. Gilleland, Leonard Green and Jack O'Callaghan to serve as directors for three-year terms. Stockholders also ratified the proposed 1992 Management Equity Plan, as well as certain amendments to Republic Health's 1991 Stock Option Plan and Stock Accumulation Plan.
 OrNda HealthCorp owns or leases and operates 11 acute care hospitals with 2,543 licensed beds, three surgery centers and one physician group practice. On March 9, 1992, the company entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all of the outstanding stock of SAFECARE Health
Services, Inc. for approximately $125 million. SAFECARE owns five acute care hospitals and an affiliate psychiatric facility.
