Caravantes also attempted to evict the Bush family from the Spring Valley home they allegedly rented from Michael Michaels, Caravantes' business associate, ESPN reported.

Meanwhile, in the wake of USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code.  quarterback Mark Sanchez's arrest for suspicion of sexual assault and underage drinking at an off-campus bar, athletic director Mike Garrett sent a memo Thursday directing coaches to meet with their teams to discuss behavior issues.

"With the recent issues before the athletic deptartment, I am requiring the coaches of each of our sports to meet with their student-athletes to discuss our expectations for ethical, compliant and legal behavior," the memo stated.

"We are all aware of the social issues that our student-athletes are confronted with - Thursday (and now Tuesday) night gatherings, the 9-0 (a nickname for the 901 club), the (Fraternity) Row, parties, drinking and drugs.

"We are a very high profile entity and must be aware that conduct in any given situation can easily become public knowledge and can often be exaggerated. We must continuously emphasize and unceasingly re-emphasize the significance of proper behavior and the hurtful consequences of unsuitable behavior."

USC coach Pete Carroll was not on campus Thursday because he was recruiting but said he saw the memo and would address the team next week.

Witnesses said Sanchez was at the 901 club Wednesday night before the alleged incident occurred and appeared drunk.

Carroll said he was concerned about underage players going to bars, an issue that existed well before Sanchez was arrested.

"We're always on it," Carroll said. "We have to be on the subject regularly. It always is frustrating."

Last October, three days after USC defeated Notre Dame, wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett, tailback LenDale White and linebacker Keith Rivers attended a Victoria's Secret party in Hollywood despite being underage.

Sanchez was released Thursday morning on $200,000 bail. An arraignment A criminal proceeding at which the defendant is officially called before a court of competent jurisdiction, informed of the offense charged in the complaint, information, indictment, or other charging document, and asked to enter a plea of guilty, not guilty, or as otherwise permitted  hearing is scheduled for May17 in LosAngeles municipal court.

Sanchez, 19, left the 901 club and returned to the Cardinal Gardens apartment complex around 1:30a.m., when he met the freshman female student. According to sources, there could be at least twowitnesses who were nearby when the alleged incident took place and could shed light on the matter.

Although Sanchez was placed on interim suspension Wednesday by Michael Jackson, USC's vice president of student affairs, sources said he will be allowed to take final exams next week. If Sanchez were not allowed to take finals, he would be ineligible to play next season.
