REPEAT/GPU Advanced Resources and NUI Energy Form Alliance to Expand Retail Energy Offerings in Deregulating Markets.

READING, PA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 4, 1999--

GPU Advanced Resources of Reading, PA, and NUI Energy, Inc., of Bedminster, NJ, have announced formation of a strategic alliance to provide commercial and industrial energy customers in the Northeast United States retail electric generation and natural gas commodities. The alliance is effective immediately.

Robert Plenderleith, President of GPU Advanced Resources, explained the reason for the alliance: "NUI Energy has a wealth of experience serving customers in the unregulated gas market place, as do we when it comes to retail electricity.
