From the exhibit floor to the conference program, Networks Expo attendees will have access to comprehensive knowledge about the Internet, including information about the technical and management issues governing business applications of the Internet.

Networks Expo exhibitors showcasing new business applications for the Internet, will include: Attachmate (formerly The Wollongong Group), BBN (BBN Technologies, Cambridge, MA, www.bbn.com) A consulting firm that participated in the development of some of the most extensive networks in the world, including ARPANET, which evolved into the Internet. Hands-on access to the latest Internet business tools and applications will be the hallmark of the IBM Internet Theater (second level hall), sponsored by IBM Corporation's IBM Global Network, which will provide the Internet connection. Every hour during the show, cyber-navigators will guide Networks Expo attendees through hands-on demonstrations using IBM Aptiva PCs with OS/2 Warp and Web Explorer software.

The Internet conference track at Networks Expo will be chaired by Jonathan "Jock" Gill, president of Penfield-Gill, Inc., and former technology guru at The White House, and Bill Linnane, director of emerging technologies, Courier Corporation.

The conference track begins with a tutorial - "Using World Wide Web Technologies for Business," (Monday, Feb. 12, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Room 311). During this all-day seminar, Thom Stark, president of Stark Realities, will explain how to establish a business presence on the World Wide Web to attendees. -- "Doing Business on the Internet:" Tuesday, February 13, 1:30 - 3 p.m., (Dan Ness, research director, Answers Research, Inc.);

-- "Navigating the Internet;" Tuesday, February 13, 3:30 - 5 p.m.; (Mr. Gill);

-- "Connecting LANs to the Internet;" Wednesday, February 14, 10:30 a.m. - Noon; (Mr. Linnane);

-- "Choosing A Service Provider;" Wednesday, February 14, 1:30 - 3 p.m.; (David Kirsch, technology practice manager, Sun Networks);

-- "Using Video on the Internet;" Wednesday, February 14; 3:30 - 5 p.m.; (Andy Robson, vice president, Set Marketing On); and

-- "Internet Security and Firewalls;" Thursday, February 15; 10:30 a.m. - Noon; (Brad Powell, network security consultant, SunNetworks).

The Internet sessions are part of a comprehensive Networks Expo conference program that also includes tracks covering computer telephony, network operating systems, client/server computing, remote access, networking and systems management, planning and design, and internetworking and integration.

Two keynote presentations will open Networks Expo Boston. Don Haile, general manager, networking software division, will discuss, "The Incredible, Invisible Network," during his keynote address, on Tuesday, February 13, at 9 a.m. Howard Bubb, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Dialogic Corporation will deliver the second-day keynote, "Client/Server Computer Telephony," on Wednesday, February 14, at 9 a.m. Both presentations will take place in Ballroom A, Third Level.
