REORGANIZED SENIOR CLUB TO START EVENTS WITH FEB. 11 DANCE.Byline: Bettie Rencoret Senior columnist LANCASTER - Faced with the possibility of disbanding, several loyalmembers of the 40 and Up Singles Club The term "singles club" can refer to one of two things: 1) In reference to a record label, a singles club refers to monthly program in which the buyer gets a single, usually a 7-inch record, sent to his or her home every month. have joined forces to reorganize under new leadership. Components of the new reformation, under the direction of Deana Hunter, will include a board of directors and a committee of volunteers who will plan and implement all of the club's activities. ``We're going to have new music and a variety of DJs so that everyone has a chance to dance to favorite songs,'' said Hunter. ``We think we'll better serve our members if we spread the choices around some. We can't please everybody all of the time, of course, but we'll aim to satisfy most, most of the time.'' Tonight from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., a dance will be held at the Lancaster Elks Lodge, 240 E. Ave. K, with only a few changes. As time progresses, there may be more, organizers said. Admission to tonight's dance will remain the same at $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers. The reorganization came after Hester Williams decided to retire as the club's executive director. ``I just couldn't do it anymore. It's a stressful job,`` said Williams. ``But I won't be entirely out of the picture. I'll stick around to lend a hand to give assistance. to give assistance; to help. There will be music from the 1950s to the present played by The Crosswinds band. The Valentine's Dance will cost $10 for everybody and will be open to the public. Organizers said the club will enforce a dance code: Clean, neat jeans will be acceptable, but shorts will not be allowed, nor will T-shirts, especially those with questionable slogans. ``When we say `dress to impress,' which has always been our credo, we mean it,'' said Hunter. ``We think it isn't asking too much to expect people who attend to dress appropriately at least one night a week.'' Since the club, for the first time in many years, did not have a New Year's Eve dance at its usual meeting place, regular member Manny Manny may refer to: In nobility:
