RENEWED AND IMPROVED.I'm a road warrior A person who frequently travels with laptop and cellphone. . I'm a '24/7' business executive with dangling cell phone, pager, and ear attachments. I'm addicted to multi-tasking. I'm always tempted by the concept of vacation but am overwhelmed with the notion of more travel. I'm always asked by associates, "When was the last time you took a vacation?" I'm always quick to respond, "Over two years ago and it was more trouble than it was worth!" I am already on the road at least three weeks of every month. But I have come to look forward to my business time in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. and my personal time at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. Over the years, I've taken advantage of their top of the line Fitness Center, but I've never experienced a day of organized spa activities. I left all my decisions in the hands of Pat Davis, Spa Director. She was nothing short of accommodating, astute, and insightful. Here's how it played out: SATURDAY NOON: My decompression begins. I enter the wet room with the Hudrotherapy Bath. The environment is calming. The scents are clean and clear. Two simple candles burn to my left. The tub is deep, full of warm bubbling water and comes all the way from Australia. BODY TREATMENT TIME: I have experienced facials before but never a full body scrub. Upon completion, she suggests a hot shower to rinse arid cleanse the skin. The shower rooms at The Peninsula Spa are as great as the hotel rooms. Marble stalls. Extra large, extra thick towels. Skin care products galore. LATE AFTERNOON: Signature Massage time. The hotel bills this service "as the ultimate in pampering and relaxation by two therapists." I can't even begin to fathom a double massage experience. Four hands at one time? One therapist starts on my neck, while the other begins on my feet. The sensation of both therapists working in unison more than surpassed my expectations. The stimulation from multiple hands was remarkable. My blood circulated like never before. END OF DAY: The ultimate pedicure. A portable massage tub is used to relax my feet. The pedicurist begins with a clipping, then a filing, and then a cleaning.
