 THE FOCUS OF PRICE WATERHOUSE CFO FORUM
 WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Restructuring and negotiating leases to reduce fixed costs, a major issue in light of recent changes in the real estate marketplace, will be discussed at a breakfast "CFO Forum" Tuesday, Feb. 18 at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills.
 The CFO Forum, designed for chief financial officers and other senior financial executives, will address recent changes in the real estate market which have created unique opportunities to reduce fixed costs while increasing business flexibility, according to L. Michael Larrenaga, managing partner of Price Waterhouse's Warner Center office, sponsor of the monthly forums.
 CFO Forum attendees will learn how to restructure a lease, how to approach property owners and other strategies for downsizing and reducing fixed costs. Also, attendees will be introduced to innovative leases clauses which should be included as part of all current real estate negotiations.
 The Price Waterhouse CFO Forum will begin at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast followed by the presentation between 8-9 a.m.
 "Reducing Occupancy Costs -- Restructuring and Negotiating Leases" will be presented by Jim Suber and Kim Josephson, directors of the Langdon Rieder Corp. Langdon Rieder Corp. is a real estate consulting company which solely represents the interests of major corporate space users during the acquisition, disposition and use of their facilities. Suber and Josephson have represented tenants in lease negotiations for a number of years and are experts in the financial analysis of lease changes and alternatives in facility and space utilization.
 CFO Forums, held on the third Tuesday of each month, are organized by Price Waterhouse to provide practical, up-to-the-minute business information that can help sharpen the competitive edge and provide profit improvement ideas for a company, without taking valuable time away from busy schedules. Devised to enhance the knowledge and expertise of executives, each Forum includes a brief update on technical financial issues and a specific presentation by an experienced business executive. Each presentation is followed by a question and answer period and qualifies for California CPA Continuing Education credit.
 Past Price Waterhouse CFO forums have included discussions on reducing workers' compensation and medical plan costs, effective public relations strategies, business continuity and estate planning, and improving credit collection results.
