WHAT: Over 200 new and pre-owned boats and the first annual SailFest Northwest--showcasing the region's biggest fleet of "for sale" sailboats and continuous free seminars by top speakers.

WHERE: Chandler's Cove (South Lake Union), Seattle Seattle (sēăt`əl), city (1990 pop. 516,259), seat of King co., W Wash., built on seven hills, between Elliott Bay of Puget Sound and Lake Washington; inc. 1869.  

VISUALS & INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITIES:

-- SailFest Northwest, featuring over 60 sailboats in Sailboat

row and Sail America's "Discover Sailing Pavilion," with

on-going free "how-to" and adventure seminars.

-- The big line-up of speakers includes Bruce Bruce, Scottish royal family descended from an 11th-century Norman duke, Robert de Brus. He aided William I in his conquest of England (1066) and was given lands in England.  Schwab, who

recently completed the "Around Alone" race by circumnavigating

the globe aboard the Ocean Planet.

-- Boaters have an opportunity "test drive" some of the boats on

display in demonstration rides.

HOURS & ADMISSION:

Hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays; 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends. Tickets are $10.00 (adult single day) or $20.00 (adult multi-day) and $5.00 for youth 12 to 17 years of age. Children under 12 years of age are admitted free with an adult.
