WHO: Stephen Christo of StarGen was invited to deliver a
presentation on "New Degrees of Architectural Freedom for
Embedded Distributed Processing Systems." Christo is director
of strategic marketing at StarGen and is the editor of the
PICMG 2.17 and PICMG 3.3 specifications. Attendees will learn
the benefits of embedded distributed processing and the
interconnect requirements within military electronics
applications. The presentation will feature how using advanced
serial switched interconnect architectures, such as
StarFabric, PCI Express(TM) and Advanced Switching (AS), can
advance the state of a wide range of systems, in terms of
scalability, performance, and other advanced features.
WHAT: A fabless semiconductor company that supplies advanced
serial switched interconnect solutions, StarGen's StarFabric
bridges and switch products are currently in full-production,
with its most recent addition, the SG3010, TDM-to-StarFabric
bridge in sample availability. StarFabric-based products are
currently being designed-in to a wide range of market segments
- including military electronics. StarGen recently unveiled
the development of a new line of products, the StarXpress
family of bridges and switches based on PCI Express and AS.
WHERE: The Military Electronics Conference and Showcase 2003
(www.mes2003.com), a Penton Technology Media event, will take
place at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD. The
show is a venue for designers of military systems and design
engineers to learn more about the technologies and products
that impact designs. The Military Electronics Conference
presents technical sessions focusing on all levels of military
component and system design, such as software simulation and
test techniques, and it offers an exhibition area for
manufacturers to showcase their latest hardware, software, and
test equipment for government and military applications.
WHEN: The conference will take place from Tuesday, September 16th
through Wednesday, Septembers 17th. Specifically, StarGen's
presentation will be on Tuesday, the 16th, from 1:30 to 2:00
p.m.
