WHAT: Metro Ethernet Forum - MEF (Booth 10115, 10221)
Spirent will participate in the first-ever public multi-vendor
interoperability demonstration of carrier-grade metro Ethernet
services at SUPERCOMM's SUPERDemo showcase. Spirent's
SmartMetro(TM) application verifies functionality,
interoperability, performance and scalability of the new E-LINE
(point-to-point) and E-LAN (multi-point to multi-point) services
as defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum.
Avici Systems (Booth 23837)
Spirent's AX/4000 10 Gigabit Ethernet Uni-PHY interface
provides Ethernet traffic to test the Avici TRS core router.
Cisco Systems (Booth 21355)
Spirent and Cisco will reproduce the world's highest broadband
scalability rate on record at 61,500 PPP over ATM or PPP over
Ethernet sessions at line rate. Spirent's AX/4000 Broadband Test
System enables scalability and performance analysis of the Cisco
10000 B-RAS. The AX/4000 supports 32,000 sessions per port or
256,000 subscribers per chassis, and a session setup rate of up
to 400 subscribers per second.
Foundry Networks (Booth 11529)
The largest-ever 10 Gigabit Ethernet demo (32 ports) features
Foundry's NetIron 40G router and Spirent's award-winning
SmartBits TeraMetrics 10 GbE test system. The live demonstration
achieves transmission speeds of 1.28 terabits and 480 million
packets per second in a single, one-third rack-sized system. In
addition, Foundry is using Spirent's Avalanche and SmartBits
products to showcase the traffic switching and DoS (Denial of
Service) blocking capabilities of the ServerIron line of L4-7
switches.
