REMINDER/Netherlands Ambassador Receives Briefing on California Economy, Takes Part in Roundtable Discussion.

WHO:

Ambassador Boudewijn J. van Eenennaam of the Netherlands, who is on
the third day of an eight-day visit to California, will receive a
briefing on issues pertaining to California's economy at a breakfast
meeting at the Milken Institute in Santa Monica. He also will take
part in a Los Angeles World Affairs Council roundtable discussion at
the Regency Club in Los Angeles.

Later in the day, Ambassador and Mrs. van Eenennaam will see Dutch
Masters at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. They will visit with
Deputy Director Nancy Thomas and see the multi-million dollar gift
from LACMA Museum Trustee Hannah Carter and her late husband, Edward
W. Carter. This significant gift amounts to one of the most generous
donations made to LACMA. Some of the Dutch Old Masters represented in
the collection are Adriaen van Ostade, Jacob van Ruysdael, Aelbert
Cuyp and Pieter Jansz. Saenredam. In the evening, the Ambassador and
his wife will attend a concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

WHEN:

At 9 a.m., the ambassador will arrive at the Milken Institute for a
discussion on California's economy. Milken Institute: 1250 Fourth

At noon, he will arrive for a lunchtime Los Angeles World Affairs
Council roundtable discussion at the Regency Club, 10900 Wilshire
Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90024.
