the NAACP are offering a free breakfast seminar for
government employers, focused on diversity recruitment
efforts.
The program will highlight best practices and solutions
for diversity recruitment and educate federal agency
representatives about ways to convert their diversity
goals into actionable plans.
Topics of discussion include: the legal side of diversity
recruiting, campus diversity solutions, and the
implementation of successful diversity campaigns.

WHO: Rev. Nelson B. Rivers, III, Chief Operating Officer of the
NAACP, will present the keynote address.
Rev. Rivers has worked for the National Association for
the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) for more than 26
years. He is credited with tripling NAACP membership in
South Carolina from 1984 to 1994. His work also led to the
election of more than 300 new black elected officials in
the state between 1986 and 1994. He has organized and
conducted massive direct action activities, such as the
march on the South Carolina State Capitol in 2000, which
brought more than 50,000 protesters from South Carolina
and across the nation to the grounds of South Carolina's
Statehouse in January 2000 to protest the flying of the
Confederate Battle Flag. Since 1999, he has implemented
the most extensive leadership-training program in the
history of the NAACP, training over 10,000 leaders.
