Day (a day when 100 percent of the revenues generated by the
firm are donated to charity) following the devastating loss of
61 members of its workforce in the 9/11 WTC terrorist attacks.
Charity Day revenues help fund the firm's Euro Brokers Relief
Fund (a public charity), which to date has directed in excess
of $2.5 million to its affected 9/11 families. Charity Day
revenues also support the Maxcor Foundation, a private
foundation providing grants to charitable organizations that
benefit the communities in which the firm and its employees
operate. This year the Foundation is recognizing:
-- The Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation
-- Columbia University Medical Center
-- The Royal Marsden Hospital (Cancer Campaign) London
-- Duke University's Fuqua/Coach K Center of Leadership and
Ethics.
