NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 2004

WHAT:  Maxcor/Euro Brokers' Third Annual Charity Day (April 19) with
       Coach Mike Krzyzewski of Duke University Men's Basketball Team.

       "Coach K" will be "working" the trading floor of Maxcor/Euro
       Brokers (Nasdaq:MAXF) New York offices, answering phones and
       talking with dealers as they call in to execute their trades.
       Maxcor is donating 100 percent of the day's brokerage revenues
       to charity, including to The Euro Brokers Relief Fund for
       families of the firm's 61 employees who were victims of the
       9/11 WTC terrorist attacks, and the Fuqua/Coach K Center of
       Leadership and Ethics at Duke University.

       Douglas T. Breeden, Dean of Fuqua Business School will also
       attend.

WHY:   Maxcor/Euro Brokers started its tradition of an Annual Charity
       Day (a day when 100 percent of the revenues generated by the
       firm are donated to charity) following the devastating loss of
       61 members of its workforce in the 9/11 WTC terrorist attacks.
       Charity Day revenues help fund the firm's Euro Brokers Relief
       Fund (a public charity), which to date has directed in excess
       of $2.5 million to its affected 9/11 families. Charity Day
       revenues also support the Maxcor Foundation, a private
       foundation providing grants to charitable organizations that
       benefit the communities in which the firm and its employees
       operate. This year the Foundation is recognizing:

       -- The Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation
       -- Columbia University Medical Center
       -- The Royal Marsden Hospital (Cancer Campaign) London
       -- Duke University's Fuqua/Coach K Center of Leadership and
          Ethics.
