Assignment Desks/High-Tech Writers

REMINDER...for Monday (May 5)

--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- -0

Who: Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) President
Harris N. Miller will present the findings of a significant
new survey on IT hiring trends, including the intention of
both IT and non-IT employers to move IT jobs off-shore.

What: A press conference to provide interested journalists an
opportunity to pursue a variety of questions raised by the new
survey, including such topics as the transfer of work
off-shore, compensation trends for IT workers in this country,
hiring plans in the next 12 months and related issues. Mr.
Miller and representatives from industry will be on hand to
present the findings and respond to questions.

When: May 5, 2003 from 10:00-10:45 am

Where: The ITAA 2003 National IT Workforce Convocation, Hyatt
Arlington Hotel, 1325 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA (One block
from the Rosslyn Metro). The press conference will be held in
the Executive Boardroom on the 4th floor.

Why: The IT industry has been slow to recover from the 2001
recession and "jobless recovery" of 2002. Questions persist
as to the outlook for many IT firms and what an uncertain
market environment means for America's high tech future. The
new study finds causes for cautious optimism and concern going
        forward.

How: To pre-register for the press conference, contact Bob Cohen
        (703-284-5301 bcohen@itaa.org) or Tinabeth Burton
