          founder and editor-in-chief of "Playboy" with its
          prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. He has built an
          international entertainment empire encompassing feature
          films, publishing, casinos, hotels, clubs, and resorts.

     WHO: Beside the 1,200 anticipated attendees and legendary Friars
          Club members? Celebrity dais that includes David Brenner,
          Red Buttons, John Byner, Sid Caesar, Jack Carter, Cyd
          Charisse, Michael Chiklis, Cathy Lee Crosby, Norm Crosby,
          Robert Culp, Tony Curtis, Phyllis Diller, Richard Dreyfuss,
          Charles Durnning, Barbara Eden, Martin Landau, Hal Linden,
          Bill Maher, Ed McMahon, Jayne Meadows, Al Pacino, Burt
          Reynolds, Eric Roberts, Jeff Ross, Dick Van Patten, Jack
          Scalia, Rod Steiger, and Joe Viterelli. And, who better to
          MC this event than the Friars Club newly inducted Abbot
          Larry King?

          Englebert Humperdinck and Lainie Kazan are scheduled to

          National Medical Center and the Christie Hefner City of Hope
          Fellowship in AIDS Research.
