SECME: Established (1975) by Engineering Deans at seven Southeastern universities For the Florida institution, see .
Southeastern University has a total enrollment of about 867. About 77% are locally based[4], and a majority are female, but there is also a significant international enrollment consisting of students from over 50 countries, including West
, now nation's largest pre-college alliance. School-university-industry partnership links 108 school systems (900 K-12 schools), 40 universities, 70 corporate and government investors across the country. SECME's mission is to increase the pool of under-represented students prepared to enter and complete post-secondary study in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology.

To date, 60,000 SECME seniors have graduated from high school. Surveys show 90 percent go on to four-year college/university -- three-fourths to pursue majors in engineering, science, education, and related disciplines.
