WHAT: Fed Challenge District Finals
Students from six of the region's top high schools will
compete for $4,000 each in scholarship money in the NY Fed's
economics and monetary policy competition. Winning teachers
will receive a $4, 000 award and the winning school will
receive $11,000 to establish an economics lab.
The winning team will represent the Second Federal Reserve
District in the National Championship at the Federal
Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. in May. Members of the
Federal Reserve Board's Federal Open Market Committee will
judge the competition and select the national champion.
