WHAT: Discovery Communications and the New York Times are holding a
screening and reception of Thomas L. Friedman Reporting: The Other
Side of Outsourcing. During the special, Thomas L. Friedman takes an
in-depth look at how people, businesses and governments are affected
by the migration of knowledge-based jobs. A question and answer
session with Mr. Friedman will be held immediately after the
screening.

WHEN:       On Tuesday, June 1 -- Event begins at 6:30 PM-- Screening
            begins at 7:15 PM

WHERE:      One Discovery Place, Silver Spring

WHO: Currently a foreign affairs columnist for The New York Times,
Thomas L. Friedman has been awarded three Pulitzer Prizes. His columns
are syndicated to over 700 newspapers worldwide and he is the author
of numerous books, including "From Beirut to Jerusalem," "The Lexus
and the Olive Tree: Understanding Globalization," and "Longitudes and
Attitudes: Exploring the World After September 11."

In Thomas L. Friedman Reporting: The Other Side of Outsourcing,
Friedman takes viewers to Bangalore, India to look at how a "perfect
storm" of culture, government and economics came together to make
India the destination for thousands of knowledge-based jobs. What does
this global labor shift mean to the U.S. and other countries
economically, culturally and politically? And what happens when the
demands of globalization run up against the deeply held traditions of
an age-old culture like India?

Thomas L. Friedman Reporting: The Other Side of Outsourcing premieres
Thursday, June 3, from 10-11 PM (ET/PT) on Discovery Channel as part
of Discovery Spotlight. This is a special presentation of the
Discovery Times Channel, which will be running an encore of the
program on Monday, June 7 at 9 PM ET.
