REMINDER/Columbia Sportswear Company Donates Over 250 "Coats for Kids".

WHAT: Filled with holiday spirit and an overwhelming community service mission,
Columbia Sportswear Company(R) (Nasdaq: COLM) donated over 250 youth parkas and
jackets to the "Christmas for Kids" program. This annual community service
program sponsored by the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors
- Portland (NAIFA-Portland) helps underprivileged children in the community
receive coats, clothing and toys for the holidays. More than 80 schools from
various school districts, including Portland, Tigard/Tualatin, David Douglas,
Beaverton, Hillsboro, Forest Grove, and Clackamas schools individually nominate
the children who are in need of assistance. Representatives from
NAIFA-Portland, Columbia Sportswear, the Royal Rosarians, law enforcement
officers, UPS employees, school employees, and a host of other volunteers will
help the children "shop" for personal items and gifts for their siblings. WHEN:

More than $25,000 donated by NAIFA-Portland members, combined with other local businesses and thousands of dollars of individual donations by volunteers creates a huge shopping fund for the children. In addition, each child will receive the following from local organizations and companies:

Columbia Sportswear Columbia Sportswear Company NASDAQ: COLM is a United States company that manufactures and distributes outerwear and sportswear. Founded in 1938 by the late Paul Lamfrom, father of present chairperson Gert Boyle, the company is headquartered in Portland, Oregon.  Company: Donated over 250 jackets and parkas - one for each child in attendance. Columbia employees will volunteer all day.

Fred Meyer: Hollywood West store offers a generous discount on all merchandise purchased for the children.

Portland Police Department, Tigard Police Bureau, and Clackamas County Sheriff's Office: Officers will distribute friendly stuffed animals
