Twelve of the top skippers in the world of professional sailing will compete on New York Harbor New York Harbor, a geographic term, refers collectively to the rivers, bays, and tidal estuaries near the mouth of the Hudson River in the vicinity of New York City. Many of the skippers are in training for the America's Cup to begin next year in Auckland, New Zealand. Daily competition is followed by press conferences that are open to the public. All activities are based at the World Financial Center Plaza and North Cove Marina, unless otherwise specified.

Thursday, Sept. 24: Round robin racing continues on the Harbor.

Friday, Sept. 25: Quarterfinal round racing on the Harbor.

Saturday, Sept. 26: Semifinal round racing; children from the Children's Dream Foundation sail as guests of Discover Sailing, a program to introduce newcomers to the sport, sponsored by the National Sailing Industries Association.

Sunday, Sept. 27: Final round and the champion is crowned.
