WHO: JAY-Z, RUSSELL SIMMONS AND THE HIP-HOP SUMMIT ACTION NETWORK
WHAT: Press conference for the announcement of a star-packed Jay-Z
concert benefiting the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network,
sponsored by Clear Channel Entertainment. This concert will
bring national attention to the Hip-Hop Summit Action
Network's mission of breaking down stereotypes surrounding the
hip-hop industry and it's fans. This performance event is in
support of Jay-Z's final solo release, The Black Album.
Proceeds from the concert will go to the non-profit Hip-Hop
Summit Action Network and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund.

Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, founded in 2001, is a
non-profit, non-partisan national coalition of Hip-Hop
artists, entertainment industry leaders, education advocates,
civil rights proponents and youth leaders dedicated to
harnessing the cultural relevance of Hip-Hop music to serve as
a catalyst for education advocacy and other societal concerns
to the well-being of youth throughout the United States.
Jay-Z has already headlined three sold-out violence free arena
tours, as well as the critically acclaimed Blueprint Lounge
theater tour.
