The Ohio Historical Society The Ohio Historical Society is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1885 "...to promote a knowledge of archaeology and history, especially in Ohio." The society exists to interpret, preserve, collect, and make available evidence of the past, and to provide leadership on  leads a tour at Adena, the home of Thomas Worthington Thomas Worthington may refer to:

) for 50 Worthington descendants, including one coming home from Japan for the event. Participants will see Worthington's completely restored Chillicothe home and a new museum with exhibits.

-- This event precedes Statehood Day (March 1) when the Society celebrates the completion of the most significant restoration in 50 years at Adena. In addition to the mansion improvements and the new museum, more than 60,000 square feet of gardens are being restored.

-- A leader in the statehood movement, Worthington served as one of Ohio's first two U.S. Senators and its sixth governor. His home is considered nationally significant because it is one of only three remaining houses built by America's first professional architect, Benjamin Henry Latrobe.

U.S. 23 and U.S. 35. From U.S. 23, take U.S. 35 west, exit

right onto S. R. 104, turn right on Pleasant Valley Rd. and

left on Adena Rd. Check in with staff at Adena & Orange Rds.
