) will present the first PPG Design Challenge Awards to students of the Center for Creative Studies (CCS (1) (Common Channel Signaling) A communications system in which one channel is used for signaling and different channels are used for voice/data transmission. Signaling System 7 (SS7) is a CCS system, also known as CCS7. See SS7. ) on Thursday, Jan. 11, at 9:30 a.m. at Cobo Center, Detroit, in Suite O2-33.

The awards recognize students' winning entries in a competition to design premium crossover vehicles for 2008 with differentiating window systems that provide added utility.

Ernest Hahn, PPG vice president, automotive glass, will present the awards. Also attending will be the three judges for the competition, and CCS alumni: Mark Allen Mark Allen is the name of:

CCS students based their designs on a perspective of future trends by J.D. Power and Associates, whose representatives also will be on hand.

Members of the media are invited to cover the awards presentation and examine new PPG automotive glass and coatings technologies displayed for Supplier Preview Days Jan. 11-12 at the North American North American
