REMINDER/El Al Announces Nearly 400 People are Immigrating to Israel on One El Al Jumbo Aircraft, The Largest Ever Group.

REMINDER...for Monday (July 8)

MEDIA ALERT:  Nearly 400 people immigrating to Israel will fill an EL
              AL jumbo aircraft.  This is the largest-ever American
              group making aliyah to Israel. There are 152 children
              (40 percent of the flight) and 65 percent are under the
              age of 5. The total number of families is 103; 2 dogs
              will also become Israeli citizens. The youngest person
              traveling is 4 months and the oldest is 62. Also
              accompanying the group is a family of 3 generations.

WHEN:         Monday, July 8th
              3 pm: Departure ceremony for the families
              5 pm: EL AL flight 3022 departs

WHERE:        EL AL Departure Terminal no.4, JFK Airport
              Red Carpet Area (near the check-in)

WHAT:         Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and EL AL President Amos
              Shapira are among the many dignitaries who will greet
              the group at a welcome ceremony upon arrival at Ben
              Gurion Airport.  On the outside of the aircraft, EL AL
              embossed a huge logo of Nefesh B'Nefesh, which is the
              organization sponsoring this flight and is dedicated to
              the revitalization of North American aliyah. Other
              partners involved in this effort are the International
              Fellowship of Christians and Jews, The Jewish Agency for
              Israel and The Ministry of Absorption.
