MEDIA ALERT: The largest group ever, 1,000 North Americans, are
             immigrating to Israel on EL AL this summer. The first of
             three EL AL 747 jumbos will carry more than 350
             passengers, including 93 families and 154 children under
             the age of 12 (45% of the flight); 9 dogs and 5 cats will
             also become Israeli citizens. The youngest person
             traveling is two weeks old and the oldest is 71. Included
             on the first flight is a newlywed couple who will
             celebrate their 4 day old wedding on board. The
             coordinator of this project is the Nefesh B'Nefesh
             organization (www.nefeshbnefesh.org), in close
             cooperation with the Jewish Agency for Israel.

WHEN:        Tuesday, July 8th
             1:30p.m. Departure ceremony and pre-flight media briefing
             4:00p.m. EL AL flight #3002 departs

WHERE:       Terminal #4, JFK Airport
             Red Carpet Area (near the EL AL check-in area)

WHAT:        Israel's Minister of Construction and Housing, Efraim
             Eitam; EL AL General Manager for North & Central America,
             Michael Mayer and other Israeli officials will attend the
             departure ceremony at JFK.

             In Israel, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Finance Minister
             Benjamin Netanyahu, Jewish Agency Chair Salai Meridor and
             other leaders will be on hand to welcome the newcomers at
             Ben Gurion Airport when the EL AL flight arrives July 9.
             On the outside of the aircraft, EL AL embossed the logos
             of Nefesh B'Nefesh and the Jewish Agency.
