The American ambassador in Croatia said Friday that the bodies of 33 Americans killed in a plane crash near Dubrovnik, including that of Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, would be flown back to the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. Nash - are scheduled to be flown to the United States by two military C-17 cargo planes. Clinton, Vice President Gore, Cabinet secretaries, members of Congress, and the families of many of the victims are to meet the plane, which is scheduled to arrive at about 4:30 p.m., the White House said.
