RELIGION BRIEFS NEW LIFE CHURCH HAS NEW PASTOR.


CANYON COUNTRY - New Life Assembly of God church has installed Jeff Johnson as its new pastor, the first change in senior leadership in nearly 15 years.

Johnson, who worked in Bakersfield as a senior pastor, has spent 12 years as staff pastor in congregations, including working with the youth ministry, ministry to young families and the nursery.

He has a bachelor's degree in religion from North American North American

 Heights Cathedral of Praise is now meeting for Bible training and worship services on Sundays at the Hampton Inn in Stevenson Ranch.

The Rev. S. Foster Joseph Sr. established the Christian church in Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  in January, and is working to raise support for a 5,000-seat facility.

Joseph, from Dallas, Texas, said he felt a calling to come to the city, and hopes to eventually add related religious services for the congregation. He celebrated his 10th year of preaching this month.

The church meets for Bible training from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., and morning worship at 11 a.m. Sundays at the Hampton Inn, 25259 The Old Road, Santa Clarita.
