RELATIVELY AWESOME; COUSINS GOODMAN, SCOTT DO EVERYTHING TOGETHER - LIKE WIN.Byline: Gerry Gittelson Staff Writer
De'Andre Scott and Derek Goodman of Alemany High have so much impact, not just on football opponents - they're two of the best offensive players in the region - but on each other.
Scott, a junior running back, and Goodman, a senior receiver/defensive back, are cousins who live together in Sylmar with Scott's mother, Jennifer Strong. The boys do everything together - study, socialize so·cial·ize

They've forged a brother-type relationship despite opposite personalities; Goodman is outgoing and the spiritual leader for the 5-0 Indians, and Scott - who chose not to participate in an interview for this article - prefers to let his performance on the field do the talking.
Goodman is one year older, but he looks up to Scott.
``Nobody compares to De'Andre,'' Goodman said. ``If the other team worries too much about the pass, then they're making a big mistake because De'Andre has speed and he can run over people. Plus, he likes to shine in big games - that's why we beat Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. Against Notre Dame, Scott awed an overflow crowd by rushing for a career-high 262 yards and two long touchdowns in 27 attempts against one of the hardest-hitting defenses in the region, carrying the Indians to a 24-21 victory.
``Before the game we saw De'Andre on film, so we knew going in that he obviously had the ability to make people miss and to break a lot of tackles,'' Notre Dame coach Kevin Rooney Kevin Rooney born on May 4, 1956 in Catskill, NY and is a boxing trainer and former boxer. Amateur Boxing Career

Scott has 787 yards rushing (9.8 avg.) and 15 touchdowns. He also has 11 receptions for 252 yards - an average of 22.9 yards per catch - and one kickoff return for a touchdown.
Goodman, just 5-foot-6 and 145 pounds, has 27 receptions for 560 yards (20.7 avg.), nine touchdowns and two interceptions. He's had at least four receptions in each of the Indians' five games, and he's one of their top tacklers.
The duo have made it impossible for opponents to focus solely on quarterback Casey Clausen Casey Clausen (born January 9, 1981) is a former American football player who played college football for the University of Tennessee. He took over the starting position from A.J. Suggs. , an All-American candidate who's passed for 1,420 yards and 17 touchdowns.
``We're not a one-man team,'' Clausen said emphatically. ``De'Andre is a great player and he's been key for us this year. A lot of people misjudge mis·judge

Still, he worked out in the weight room on a daily basis over the offseason, coming back 15 pounds heavier - he's 5-10 and 185 pounds - and two steps faster. This year, he's on pace for a 2,200-yard season if Alemany makes it to the Division I final, which would become a realistic goal if the Indians beat Orange County-power Servite (3-2) Friday at Cal State Fullerton.
