See Board of directors.  declared a dividend for the third quarter of 2001 of $0.12 per common share, payable Oct. 12, 2001, to shareholders of record as of Sept. 28, 2001.

United Dominion Realty Trust Inc. announced that its Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly dividend on its common stock for the third quarter of 2001 in the amount of $0.27 per share, payable on Oct. 31, 2001, to all common shareholders of record as of Oct. 12, 2001.

In addition, the Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly dividend on its Series D Convertible Preferred stock Convertible Preferred Stock

Preferred stock that includes an option for the holder to convert the preferred shares into a fixed number of common shares, usually anytime after a predetermined date. Also known as "convertible preferred shares".
 for the third quarter of 2001 in the amount of $0.482138 per share. The preferred dividend preferred dividend n. a payment of a corporation's profits to holders of preferred shares of stock. (See: preferred stock)  is payable on Oct. 31, 2001, to preferred shareholders of record as of Oct. 12, 2001.

The Board also declared a regular quarterly dividend on its Series B Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock Stock shares that have preferential rights to dividends or to amounts distributable on liquidation, or to both, ahead of common shareholders.

Preferred stock is given preference over common stock. Holders of preferred stock receive dividends at a fixed annual rate.
 in the amount of $0.5375 per share. The preferred dividend is payable on Nov. 30, 2001, to all shareholders of record as of Nov. 15, 2001.
