REILLY, VEST ELECTED TO DUPONT BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 WILMINGTON, Del., April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Charles M. Vest, president of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and William K. Reilly, former administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, today were elected to the DuPont (NYSE: DD) board of directors.
 Vest, 51, has headed MIT since October 1990. He previously served at the University of Michigan as, consecutively, associate dean for academic affairs, dean of engineering, and provost and vice president for academic affairs.
 Reilly, 53, headed the EPA from 1989 to 1993 under President Bush. Currently a senior fellow at World Wildlife Fund, he previously held various environment-related positions over two decades including president of World Wildlife Fund, president of The Conservation Foundation, and chairman of the Natural Resources Council of America.
 Their election raises membership in the DuPont board to 20.
