Plot bus trips via Google Transit

Thousand Oaks Transit recently partnered with Google to include its information in Google Transit.

TOT is only the fourth transit agency in California and the first in Ventura County to incorporate into the Google Transit system.

Google Transit allows customers to plan trips in Thousand Oaks using public transportation.

Each search request provides satellite images and maps displayed beside the transit route and an estimate of walking and travel time and money saved from using public transit instead of driving.

In 2006, TOT launched NextBus, a platform for getting real-time bus-arrival information on the Internet via GPS. Local investments in transit technology have increased ridership in Thousand Oaks 10 percent from last year.
