Byline: The Register-Guard

Reedsport High School graduation will be June 12. The commencement speaker will be Karen Tibbles.

Valedictorian is Andrew Merschel, the son of Dan and Katherine Vasquez of Reedsport. He has been involved in cross country, basketball, track and golf. He served as vice president of Future Business Leaders of America, president of the National Honor Society The National Honor Society (NHS), established in 1921, is a recognition program for American high school students who show achievement in scholarship, leadership, service, and character.  and was involved in School to Work and Knowledge Bowl.

He plans to attend Oregon State University Oregon State University, at Corvallis; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1858 as Corvallis College, opened 1865. In 1868 it was designated Oregon's land-grant agricultural college and was taken over completely by the state in 1885.  and major in engineering.

 Tyler Hague is the son of Kevin and Gale Hague of Reedsport. He was involved in cross country, basketball and golf. His clubs include Future Business Leaders of America and Knowledge Bowl, where he was named two-time tourney most valuable player.
