 chapter will honor local military personnel and celebrate its 64th birthday before the July 1 Lancaster JetHawk's game against the Bakersfield Blaze The Bakersfield Blaze are a minor league baseball team in Bakersfield, California, USA. They are a "high-A" class team in the California League, and are a farm team of the Texas Rangers. The Bakersfield Blaze play home games at Sam Lynn Ballpark. .

An all-you-can-eat barbecue barbecue [West Indian or South American], in the United States, traditionally an open-air gathering, political or social, in which meats are roasted whole over a pit of embers and food and drink are liberally enjoyed.  will be served starting at 5:30 p.m. at the stadium, 45116 Valley Central Way.

Among those being honored are The Command Post, a military group stationed at Edwards Air Force Base Edwards Air Force Base, U.S. military installation, 301,000 acres (121,805 hectares), S Calif., NE of Lancaster; est. 1933. It is one of the largest air force bases in the United States and has the world's longest runway.  that helps the Red Cross.

Local volunteers will also be honored, and the chapter will install its new officers before the game.

The game starts at 7 p.m.

Tickets cost $20 and are available at the Red Cross office, 2715 E. Ave. P, and should be purchased by Monday. For more information, call (661) 267-0650.
