RECYCLE THOSE TREES, GIFTS CITY OFFERS TIPS TO REDUCE HOLIDAY TRASH.

Through Jan. 11, Santa Clarita residents can place undecorated trees curbside, without a stand, to be picked up with the regular trash.

Other ways to recycle after the holidays are to donate unwanted gifts to charity; use leftover food for compost; drop off extra packing peanuts at local private mailing centers; or recycle gift boxes, holiday catalogs and greeting cards See e-card. .
