RECRUIT CHOOSES INDIANA.

Byline: - Brian Dohn

UCLA's urgency to get Kansas transfer David Padgett increased when 7-foot power forward Robert Rothbart chose Indiana over the Bruins. Rothbart said he informed the coaches of both schools late Sunday and will sign his national letter of intent Wednesday.

``It really was just a decision that felt right to me,'' said Rothbart, a senior at Sacramento's Natomas High. ``It was real tough. For a while, UCLA was in the lead, but at the end I just had a feeling. All along I had a gut feeling for Indiana.''

UCLA remains involved with wing Malik Hairston of Detroit's Renaissance High, but his decision could be delayed until the end of the month.
