RE: 96 New Nova BUS Low Floor Buses for Montreal.


SAINT-EUSTACHE, Quebec--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 1998--Nova BUS Nova BUS Nova Bus is a bus manufacturing company based in Saint-Eustache, Quebec, Canada. The company is now owned by Prevost Car, which is a division of Volvo Buses.

 Corporation is pleased to announce that it has received confirmation yesterday that the Montreal Urban Community The Montreal Urban Community (MUC) (Communaute Urbain de Montreal - CUM) was a regional government that covered all municipalities that the PQ later forcibly merged into the Megacity of Montreal.  Transit Corporation (MUCTC MUCTC Montreal Urban Community Transit Corporation ) will exercise its option to purchase 96 Low-Floor buses from Nova BUS Corporation. This represents a contract valued at $37M for its Saint-Eustache plant in Quebec, Canada.

The award of this contract to Nova BUS will strengthen the company's order book and maintain production rate of the Low-Floor bus assembly line at the Saint-Eustache plant. Delivery of the vehicles is scheduled between the fall of '98 and the summer of '99.

Mr. Tallon also noted the excellent cooperation between MUCTC and Nova BUS which led to the implementation of a continuous quality improvement process in the production of the new buses which will benefit all customers.
