The 27th annual Hospice Cup, a fundraising regatta sanctioned by the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Racing Association, will begin at 10 a.m., when various classes of yachts will race off the mouth of the Severn River. Participants in each class will race for the chance to qualify for the National Hospice Regatta Championship - a national championship of all hospice regattas held nationwide.
As a Hospice Cup sponsor, RCN is providing $10,000 in cable television advertising to promote the event. In addition, RCN will distribute promotional materials at local community and sporting events.

Hospice Cup funds help pay the expenses not covered by Medicare or private insurance. These dollars enable the hospices to provide skilled compassionate care, comfort and dignity to the terminally ill, their families and friends, regardless of their ability to pay.
