RCG Information Technology, a leading provider of end-to-end e-business solutions, and a principal unit of Reliance Group Holdings Inc. (NYSE: REL), announced today the appointment of Jon Deutsch to the position of Senior Vice-President of Marketing.

Formerly the General Manager, and Director of Sales and Marketing at Information Builders, Deutsch brings to RCG IT more than 12 years of experience in marketing software and services for enterprise systems integration and data warehousing. Deutsch will oversee RCG IT's worldwide marketing efforts, including its brand marketing strategy, field marketing programs, communications and web marketing activities.

As General Manager of Information Builders' Data Warehouse Division, Deutsch was responsible for strategy, research and development, quality assurance, product management, and worldwide sales and marketing. Deutsch introduced several new products and services for the Web, and quadrupled new-sales revenue and customer licenses in the three years he led the unit. As Director of Sales and Marketing for Information Builders' lines of enterprise integration and data warehouse business, Deutsch achieved growth rates of more than 25 percent annually, and created and launched the concept for SmartMart, Information Builders' line of data warehouse products. Deutsch is the former Chairman of the SQL Access Group standards consortium, and was a member of its Board of Directors from 1993 through 1995.
