RBN Doubles Revenue, Secures Funding; New Funds Will Be Used to Add Features to GigaEdge 2300.

 Inc., a leading developer of Next Generation Optical Transport Platforms, (www.rbni.com) today announced that it has closed its most recent round of funding and has completed a recapitalization of the company. The financing round was co-led by new investor Jolimont Ventures and existing investor Allen and Buckeridge (both leading Australian Technology Funds). The funding is the latest financial milestone for RBN, which doubled its revenue during the previous fiscal year, driven by strong carrier demand in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  and Europe. RBN is exhibiting this week at GLOBALCOMM 2006 being held in Chicago's McCormick Place, booth 75049.

The funds will be used to enhance RBN's GigaEdge 2300 Programmable Optical Transport Platform with additional Mini-MSPP feature sets. RBN plans to increase manufacturing volumes to meet current and future product demand. RBN has developed two optical transport products (2320 and 2330) based on the GigaEdge 2300 platform.
