Future Plans: "To buy our own building and get established in a permanent location. I also hope to maintain staff continuity by retaining good people like our women CGAs while they have their families."

Description: This full-service building material supply operation, under the franchise name of TIM-BR Mart, services both contractors and the general public. Providing a wide variety of products--"anything needed for home maintenance, renovation and construction from the ground up" -- it is best known for its pressure-treated lumber lumber, term for timber that has been cut into boards for use as a building material. The major steps in producing lumber involve logging (the felling and preparation of timber for shipment to sawmills), sawing the logs into boards, grading the boards according to .

"I was pretty green about this industry and had to learn it from scratch."
