RAYTHEON ELECTS TWO VICE PRESIDENTS

 LEXINGTON, Mass. Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company's (NYSE: RTN) board of directors has elected Jack L. Gressingh and Frank D. Umanzio as company vice presidents.
 Gressingh, 47, is vice president and general manager of Raytheon's Electromagnetic Systems Division in Goleta, Calif., which designs and builds electronic airborne and shipboard countermeasure equipment for the U.S. armed forces and for foreign governments. He was named general manager of the division in November 1991.
 Gressingh joined Raytheon in 1968. He has held a number of senior level positions, including assistant general manager - operations, director of new business development, director of a Raytheon joint venture with Northrop Corporation, and director of airborne electronic warfare systems.
 Gressingh holds bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
 He and his wife, Karen, and their two sons reside in Santa Barbara, Calif.
 Umanzio, 58, will succeed E. Leonard Kane as vice president of human resources upon Kane's retirement in May. Umanzio has served as director of human resources since March 1986, with responsibility for employee benefits and services, compensation, employment, employee communications, and equal opportunity programs.
 Umanzio has worked at Raytheon for 34 years. He has held a number of senior level human resources positions within the company, including manager of labor relations at Raytheon's Missile Systems Division plant in Andover, Mass., industrial relations manager for Raytheon Technical and Administration Services, Ltd. in Paris, and industrial relations manager for Raytheon's Electromagnetic Systems Division in Goleta, Calif.
 Umanzio holds a bachelor's degree s wife, Jean, live in Andover, Mass.
