RAYTHEON CORPORATE JETS NAMES DIEKER VP, OPERATIONS

 LEXINGTON, Mass., Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Corporate Jets today announced the appointment of John W. Dieker as vice president, operations. He will be responsible for all U.S. operations and will be located in the Little Rock, Ark. headquarters of Raytheon Corporate Jets. Dieker will report to Roy H. Norris, president and chief executive officer of Raytheon Corporate Jets.
 Raytheon Corporate Jets, formed earlier this summer when Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) acquired British Aerospace Inc.'s Corporate Jet business, manufactures the world's best selling mid-size jets -- the Hawker 800 and Hawker 1000.
 "We're extremely pleased to have a person of John Dieker's caliber to lead our aircraft operations," said Roy H. Norris, Raytheon Corporate Jets president and chief executive officer. "He is a welcome addition to our management team."
 Dieker comes to Raytheon Corporate Jets from Beech Aircraft, where he had been manager of manufacturing at the Salina Division since May, 1991. While at Salina, Dieker was responsible for all division activities, including manufacturing, quality assurance, tooling, production control, industrial engineering, maintenance and human resources. He joined Beech in 1978 as a staff assistant in the manufacturing division. In 1982, he transferred to Beech's Selma, Ala., location, where he was general foreman of fabrication. He returned to Kansas in 1986, where he was promoted to general foreman of manufacturing in Salina.
 Dieker attended Wichita State University and has participated in Oklahoma State University-sponsored and company-sponsored management training courses. He is currently a director of Bank IV Salina, a director of the Salina United Way, and a member of the executive board of the Coronado Area Council of the Boy Scouts. He and his wife Sue have a teenage son.
