RAYCOM TO TELECAST 18 MINNESOTA BASKETBALL GAMES
 CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Raycom, the nation's

leading independent sports programmer, will telecast 18 University of Minnesota regular season games for the 1991-92 basketball season.
The Golden Gophers will use a mixture of new and returning players this season, relying on senior Bob Martin and sophomores Arriel McDonald and Ernest Nzigamasabo to provide team leadership. New faces to watch are Dallas' Jayson Walton and All-America guard Voshon Leonard, who helped his Detroit Southwestern team capture USA TODAY'S national high school championship last year.
Ted Robinson will be the play-by-play announcer, with Dick Bremmer providing the color analysis.
Raycom, based in Charlotte with offices in New York, Chicago and Dallas, is a specialist in regional networks for college sports. Last year, Raycom carried 334 college basketball games on an over-the-air network covering 80 percent of the country. Recently, Raycom reached an agreement to handle all programming of ABC network college basketball -- selecting the teams, selling the advertising and producing the broadcasts.
