RALEIGH EXECUTIVE HEADS NORTH CAROLINA BANKERS ASSOCIATION

 RALEIGH, N.C., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelly S. King, president of Branch Banking and Trust Co., in Raleigh, was elected president of the North Carolina Bankers Association (NCBA) during the group's annual convention May 27-30 at Palm Beach, Fla.
 King succeeds Robert F. Lowe, chairman, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Lexington State Bank.
 James B. Hyler Jr., president of First Citizens Bank in Raleigh, succeeds King as NCBA president-elect.
 The new vice president is Lawrence M. Kimbrough, president and CEO of First Charter National Bank in Concord.
 The association re-elected John H. Ketner Jr., president and CEO of the Bank of Mecklenburg in Charlotte, to another year as treasurer.
 The association also re-elected the following staff officers at NCBA headquarters in Raleigh: A.D. (Al) Fuqua Jr., executive vice president; Dianne L. Williams, vice president-administration; and Edmund D. Aycock, vice president and general counsel.
 Lowe will remain on the NCBA board of directors along with King, Hyler, Kimbrough, Ketner and Fuqua. Other members of the 1993-1994 board of directors follow:
