 RAINBOW TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES BUSINESS UNIT ORGANIZATION
 AND SEVEN NEW OFFICER APPOINTMENTS
 IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Rainbow Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: RNBO), in response to dramatic growth in both domestic and international business segments, announced today the formation of two business units for its North American operations and international operations and the promotion of seven key executives.
 Peter Craig, formerly vice president, sales and marketing, has been promoted to executive vice president, North American operations, and is responsible for all North American business activities. Craig joined Rainbow in 1989 as vice president, business development.
 Alfred Weingartner, formerly vice president, international, has been promoted to executive vice president, international operations, and is responsible for all international business activities. Weingartner joined Rainbow in 1987, as director, international sales.
 Patrick Fevery, formerly controller, has been promoted to vice president, finance and chief financial officer. Fevery joined Rainbow in 1988 and holds a master of business administration in finance from Claremont Graduate School.
 Paul Bock, formerly director, corporate planning, has been promoted to vice president, business development. Bock is responsible for strategic business relationships, as well as mergers and acquisitions analysis.
 As part of the North American operations, Norm Denton has been promoted to vice president, sales and marketing. Denton joined Rainbow in 1990 as director, national accounts and most recently was director, North American sales. Richard Burris has been promoted to vice president, manufacturing. Burris joined Rainbow in 1988.
 Within international operations, Dorinda Rowden was promoted to vice president, Pacific Rim and Latin America. Rowden joined Rainbow in 1989 and most recently was sales manager for Pacific Rim and Latin America.
