The storm that brought scattered thunderstorms thunderstorms

Forecasters predict a 20 percent chance of rain today under cloudy skies, with lows in the high 30s to upper 40s and highs from the mid-50s to low 60s.

The storm center is offshore and heading south. It was expected to hit land near San Diego this morning, before moving east and taking the threat of rainfall with it, said David Danielson, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
